By using ChitPact ("the Service") you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Use of the service

ChitPact is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use. You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' data without permission
• Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the Service's infrastructure
• Use the Service to harass or defraud other users

3. Expense data

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of expense data you enter. ChitPact does not verify amounts, split arrangements, or settlement claims. Any disputes between group members are between those members — ChitPact has no role in resolving them.

4. No financial advice

ChitPact is an expense-splitting and personal finance tracking tool. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, legal, or tax advice.

5. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages without notice.

6. Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, ChitPact is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
